Efficient Lighting
Lighting has a large impact on our environment and according to obtained data; it represents nearly 40% of total
electricity consumption in the non-residential sector. That is why we wish to contribute to a more
effective energy use, especially in this sector of public, production and sports facilities and public lighting, by introducing
comprehensive solutions for effective lighting.
The implementation of effective lighting means:
- to reduce electricity costs,
- to arrange the lighting of rooms or workplaces in accordance with valid regulations,
- to regulate public lighting systems in accordance with the latest provisions and standards and the Decree on Limit Values due to Light Pollution of the Environment (UMVSOO),
- to implement lighting control and automation systems,
- to provide adequate monitoring in order to ensure appropriate measures even before malfunctions in public lighting systems occur,
- to reduce maintenance costs of public lighting.
The already implemented projects show that suitable measures (economic lights,
automation, monitoring and management of lighting) can
save up to 40% of electricity, while proportionally to electricity savings,
greenhouse gas emissions are reduced.
Additional effects of the implementation of effective lighting:
- better illumination of rooms,
- better illumination of roadways,
- better illumination of the surfaces of the public road infrastructure,
- better illumination of the uncovered surfaces of rest and service areas along motorways, expressways or regional roads,
- lower levels of light pollution,
- higher quality environment of residential facilities,
- easier lighting management,
- easier lighting maintenance,
- implementation of electricity consumption analysis,
- increased work productivity and quality,
- increased quality of living.

The contractor realises the modernisation of the
lighting system with its own or procured financial sources. With this, the client has a guaranteed
energy cost reduction. The client then returns a part of the
savings to the contractor for a specified contractual period for the realised investment, management and maintenance of the new installations and devices.
Advantages for the client:
- The appropriate illumination of a room or workplace means increased comfort and security,
- The correct illumination of roadways, the surfaces of the public road infrastructure and uncovered surfaces of rest and service areas along motorways, expressways or regional roads in accordance with the Decree on Limit Values due to Light Pollution of the Environment (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 81/2007) and other standards, decrees and laws,
- Easier restoration or expansion planning for street lighting and preventive maintenance;
- Appropriate lighting design and management mean lower electricity costs;
- In the case of contractual assurance of saving electricity, financial resources are not required for the realisation of measures; the repayments made from savings, quality management and insurance are guaranteed for the duration of the contractual period. After this period, the entire savings belong entirely to the client.
The contractual assurance of energy saving is intended for:
- building owners,
- owners and operators of street lighting,
- workplace leaseholders with obsolete and unsuitable lighting.
