Due to the growing prices of energy resources and the pressing environmental problems, the field of energy management of facilities is gaining in importance. It includes the optimum choice and installation of energy equipment, its maintenance, monitoring of effects, management of the facility and constant control.

EL-TEC MULEJ already began implementing the Contractual Form of Ensuring Savings project for the Kranj City Municipality in 2002. In the 15-year contract period, EL-TEC MULEJ guarantees a 12.8% reduction in the consumption of electricity compared to the figures of the 1999 reference year.

The project covers 14 facilities, of those 11 primary schools with a sports hall, the municipal building and the Olympic pool and summer bathing area. In the first seven years of the term of the contract and management of facilities, the guaranteed savings have been surpassed. This good result was undoubtedly aided by a comprehensive system approach to the administration and management of the energy efficiency project with a stress on modern technologies.

Such results prove that good energy management and raising awareness of all users, especially the younger ones, can additionally reduce energy and water consumption thus contributing to preserving nature and the environment for future generations.
